Macau is a distinctive blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures. Macau holds many attractions apart from its popular gambling casinos. Near the Ferry Pier is the Fisherman’s Wharf includes over 150 stores and restaurants in buildings built in the style of different world seaports such as Cape Town, Amsterdam and Venice. The Macau Sky Tower, opened in December 2001, offers a breathtaking view over the city. It measures 338m in height from ground level to the highest point. We went to the top observation deck that has panoramic views, the Skywalk around the outer rim as well as Skyjump, the highest in the world.
Koi Kei Cake Shop is a famous Macau Souvenir shops where we tried the local delicacies, such as meat jerky, almond cake, peanut sweets and egg roll. Along the San Ma Lo Street, you can see the colonial architecture displayed in buildings like the impressive Leal Senado, the Santa Casa da Misericordia, and Sao Domingos Church. |
