Sevilla is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain, ranked as the fourth largest metropolitan area of Spain. Upon arrival, we went to see the famous Flamenco Show at El Palacio Andaluz. A 1.5 hours Flamenco show that involves singing, dance and guitar. Other Tablaos, or professional Flamenco bars can be found all over Sevilla.

The next morning, we went to The Cathedral of Sevilla was begun in 1402, with construction continuing into the 16th century. It is the largest of all Roman Catholic cathedrals and also the largest Medieval Gothic religious building. The interior is decorated with a large quantity of gold evident. The Cathedral also has a large collection of religious jewelry items, paintings and sculptures, along with the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Next, we stopped by The Plaza de España, which is one of Seville's most easily recognised buildings and the epitome of the Moorish Revival in Spanish architecture. In 1929 Seville hosted the Spanish-American Exhibition and numerous buildings were constructed for the exhibition in Maria Luisa Park, among them the Plaza designed by Aníbal González. The Plaza is a huge half-circle with buildings continually running around the edge accessible over the moat by numerous beautiful bridges. The Plaza is also used as a setting for Naboo in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, though it was digitally modified.

We went to Granada the next day and visited the Alhambra Palace, which is a series of palaces and gardens built under the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th C. This mighty compound of buildings – including the summer palace called Generalife, with its fountains and gardens. At the centre of the Alhambra stands the massive Palace of Charles V, an outstanding example of Spanish Renaissance architecture. The Sacromonte hill, which overlooks the city from the North, is famous for its cave dwellings, once the home of Granada's large gypsy community. Shopping in the Granada downtown is fun, you will often see shops hanging lots of pig legs for sale. These are called "pata negra" or "black hoof", which are Hams of the finest quality come from pigs of the Iberian breed, characterized by their dark coat and black hoofs.

Photography, to me, is about the intellectual joy and excitement to "hunt" for a good photograph, be it in travels or in capturing a particular moment in life or in expressing a specific perception. A little bit of my background, I graduated in MBA from Santa Clara University and got my Computer Science degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison. This website and the photos are all made by me unless otherwise stated, I invite you to check out my favorite photos below and explore the rest of my website.
