The twin babies now turn 3 months old. It seems like only yesterday we were bringing them home from the hospital. At 3 months, the twin babies can now lift their head while on their back and hold it for several minutes, it is like if they were doing mini-pushups. The twin babies wave her arms and kick their legs and sometimes, the kicks are very strong. We learned that this is a sensitive time when verbal stimulation is particularly important for the babies. They should be encouraged with a variety of words and sounds. Recent research links higher intelligence levels to how many words a child hears in the first year of life. We brought them to the Elements shops in West Kowloon over the weekend. The twins were so excited and looked everywhere of interest. They were laughing when we point to objects and identify them by name. It is so much fun!!  
 
We learn that the twins are set on "receive" mode at this age, drawing conclusions about the world around her. We do notice that they respond to their faces in the mirror by smiling, and stop sucking their thumbs or bottles to listen to our voices. When we make noises at them, they were smiling and laughing so much and the fun has really begun. It's priceless.
