Beijing Zoo China September 2010 - 42 photos - 946 views Our next stop is the famous & crowded Wang Fu Jing Avenue, or the "walking street". The street is lined with shops selling everything from women's fashions to eyeglasses and Chinese tea. There are several shopping centres like the Beijing Department Store, Sun Dong An Plaza, and Wang Fu Jing Department Store. Running parallel to Wang Fu Jing Avenue are Dong Dan Bei and Dong Si Nan Avenues, with a high concentration of small restaurants, shops and boutiques. We had a nice lunch at the the famous Peking Duck chain called Quan Ju De. It is the best duck restaurant chain in the city. It isn't cheap with half a duck costing RMB120 but its well worth it in the end. We attended a wedding ceremony that was held right next to the China Central Television (CCTV) Tower, which is the tallest structure in Beijing. It has an observation deck at 238 metres (781 ft). It provides a great panoramic views over the city from its restaurant and observation deck. It was a wonderful setup for a wedding ceremony and I took lots of lovely photos for my twin while there. Check them out below! |
