Chime Long Safari Park China December 2011 - 28 photos - 153 views

This is our second time to the enormous Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park (长隆香江野生动物世界) in the Panyu District (番禺) of Guangzhou China - the only zoo in China that holds a 5A class tourism attraction level. Since we went during the Christmas holidays in Hong Kong and there's no Christmas holiday in China, the park is not too crowded and that's perfect for us. There are over 20,000 animals from over 450 species including white-tiger, orangutan, Asia elephant, sun bear, golden monkey, chimpanzee, pygmy hippo and giraffe.  
 
Covering an area of 130 hectares, the zoo is broken into 2 main sections, the “Safari on Foot” and a “Safari on Wheels” section. We went on the "Safari on Wheels" last time 2 years ago, so we decided to go to the "Safari on Foot" route this time. There are over 460 species in the park, among them there are many international endangered animals. For example, there are more than 100 white tigers in Chime-Long Xiangjiang Safari Park, i.e. over 50% of the whole amount of this species on earth. There are white lions, panda, white kangaroos, red-headed Cranes, Flamingos, Pygmy Hippos, polar bears and so on. We will definitely bring the twin here again soon!  
 
During the same trip, we also stopped by the Baihuazhou Flower Garden (梦幻百花洲), which is located in the Songshan Lake Industrial Park area in DongGuan (东莞). The whole garden covers an area of ​​1200 acres. There's also the "Legend Performers" Chinese acrobatics, folk performances, traditional dance to enjoy in the park, as well as the charming lavender and sunflower forest, ...etc.
