CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is where the tech world converges, and the 2024 edition in Las Vegas promised to be no exception. This global stage showcased the latest innovations, unveiling breathtaking technologies poised to transform our lives. Electric Vehicles Charge Ahead: EVs were undeniable stars of the show, with innovative designs, new battery technologies for faster charging and longer range, and unique concepts that reimagine the in-car experience.

The Metaverse Comes Alive: CES 2024 brought a flurry of AR/VR devices and technologies designed to propel us deeper into the metaverse. Expect more immersive experiences that seamlessly blend the digital and physical world.

Lotte Data Communication Company (LDCC) launched a ‘Hyper-Realistic’ Metaverse platform, named Caliverse. Caliverse is designed to be a place where the real world and the virtual world are closely intertwined1. It allows customers to purchase and use hyper-realistic products in the virtual world and have them delivered to their doorsteps in the real world. The platform also encourages user participation through its UGC (User-Generated Contents) feature, which allows users to freely create content and generate profits1. This year, unlike the previous open booth exhibition, Caliverse was presented in a closed booth, providing an immersive experience for the audience.


One of the highlights of Caliverse is the virtual concert hall, which can accommodate more than 65,000 spectators. This feature provides an immersive and hyper-realistic experience, making spectators feel as if they are at a real concert. In this year’s exhibition, the world-renowned EDM DJ ALOK and K-POP idol group NMIXX performed, showcasing the platform’s potential to host large-scale events and concerts. This marks a significant step forward in the evolution of the Metaverse, bringing one step closer to a future where the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds are blurred.


"Roll-up" Everything: We saw a rise in flexible display technology. "Roll-up" laptops, phones that magically expand into tablets, and space-saving TVs you can tuck away were the talk of the show.


Augmented Reality (AR) Glasses Get an Upgrade: Sleeker and more powerful than ever, AR glasses have the potential to blur the lines between real and augmented worlds – providing hands-free navigation, instant translations, and immersive work experiences.


Smarter Homes Get Even Smarter: CES 2024 was loaded with advancements that will make our homes more intuitive. Integrated systems that can adjust lighting, manage energy, and even prepare customized meals based on individual preferences were big hits.


Sam's Club, a subsidiary of Walmart, unveiled a game-changing feature that promises to redefine the shopping experience. The company announced its plan to implement an AI Image capture system at its exits, aiming to eliminate the long-standing issue of waiting in lines for receipt verification¹. This innovative technology was introduced by Sam’s Club chief merchant Megan Crozier during a keynote speech at the event. The new system, built by in-house Sam’s Club engineers, uses a combination of computer vision and digital technology to capture images of a customer's cart at the exit. It verifies if the items in the cart were purchased, thereby streamlining the exit process. The technology was tested at 10 stores, including nine in the Dallas metro area and one in Joplin, Missouri¹. The company plans to roll out this feature in its nearly 600 stores across the country by the end of 2024. Check out the demo video below:




The Sphere is a first-of-its-kind entertainment venue built by the Madison Square Garden Company. Its most iconic feature is the massive exterior LED display that wraps around the building, showcasing visuals so vast and vivid they're impossible to miss. But The Sphere experience goes far beyond just a cool exterior. Stepping inside The Sphere is like entering a tech-fueled wonderland.


Visitors can expect an immersive theater housing the world's highest resolution LED screen. Here, wraparound visuals and a state-of-the-art sound system put you right in the heart of the action. Additionally, the venue offers exciting pre-show experiences. This includes 'Postcard From Earth' by Darren Arronofsky, an art installation that takes you on a cosmic journey. Finally, The Sphere hosts a range of shows and events pushing the boundaries of traditional entertainment. Their inaugural concert series showcases the iconic rock band U2.




CES 2024 solidified that we are living in a fast-paced technological age.
