Shasta Lake Boat Trip June 2022


We went to the Lake Shasta for a nice Boat Trip vacation. The lake is the houseboating capital of the world, and well known as one of the best recreational lakes in the nation, Shasta Lake is the ideal place for a nice houseboat vacation. We rented our boat at the Silverthorn Resort which is a short drive from many cities in the Central Valley. They offer a wide array of houseboats and watercraft rentals. In addition to Houseboats, Silverthorn Resort also has many other watercraft available for rent.

With calm water averaging 75 degrees in the summer, swimming, fishing and water sports are favorite activities. Shoreline trails offer hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. The houseboats come with complete floating “suites” with up to 1500 square feet of cabin and deck space. Each houseboat features railed decks, swim platforms, slides, roof-top sundecks, propane BBQs, and modern and convenient kitchens. Check out the Shasta Lake map below:
