Twin Babies are now 1 year 9 months old, almost 2, and they acquired so many new skills lately and their curiosity reached new levels. They now walk with confidence, and sometimes even outrunning us on the playground and adding a hop here and there. In fact, by the time we were so tired after visiting the park or playground, the twins are still on the go with so much energy left.
The twin also start to pick up whatever grabs their attention at the moment, and proudly stands back up again to show us their treasures. There are most intrigued by tiny objects like little ants, snails, plants, rocks and especially those lovely garbage that they found on the ground. Our reaction time were tested regularly as they like to put these tasty treats in their month, and we have to react quickly to stop them.
Up until now, play has been an integral part of their learning experience. They are beginning to discover that many things in life are predictable, and although they doesn't understand the principles of logic behind why things do what they do, they are beginning to understand how they impact them and how they make them feel. It was good that we established fixed times for napping, eating, and going to bed to help the twin feel more secure and in control and that in return help us manage our time better. We found that a predictable way of doing things for the twins and they knew exactly what to do at what time, e.g. like when going to bed at night, the twins will usually give us a good night kiss and go to sleep right after.
