Sanya China May 2017

Sanya China May 2017

Sanya (三亚), a city on the southern end of China’s Hainan Island, has several bays with large beach resorts. Yalong Bay is known for upscale hotels, while Wuzhizhou Island and its coral reefs are destinations for scuba diving, surfing and other water sports. As the only tropical city across the coastline, it is definitely booming and packed with a lot of water sports such as snorkeling and jet-skiing, rainforest hiking, and innumerable hotels ranging from zero to five stars. Sanya Wan beach at night time. Its islands and beaches are beautiful and the water in Yalong Bay and Dadonghai are clean enough to have a good swim, but you may also want to head to Wuzhizhou Island or further north to visit unspoiled and natural scenery. While tourists come in every season, the peak season starts from 1 October to the end of winter. During the winter, Sanya is a popular escape for Russians who primarily stay at Dadong Hai (大东海 Dądōng hǎi) and Northern Chinese to escape freezing weather.

We recently stayed at Club Med Sanya on the tropical paradise island of Hainan. The whole atmosphere of the club was so warm and friendly it just felt like we were all one big happy family. Even though the facility is not new, but everything is made up by the wonderful GOs. We've spent most of the time inside the village so I got to know lots of the GOs (staff) and was taken good care of. The food was good with lots of options. It was heavily Chinese and seafood but there were always Western options and provided us with a chance to try plenty of new things. The beach is very wide and spacious. The large pool has a graduated entrance at one side and 2 water slides (they are only open certain hours). It also has a swim up bar and there is a graduated pool with sand that is great for little ones. Making new friends is part of the vacation, this is the part of Club Med I like the most.
